President's Profile
Name: Khadija Hamidzai
Program/Year: Political Science and Peace and Conflict Studies, 2B
Best part about my position: Getting to meet and work with dedicated folks on campus who are furiously working away to make a mark in their communities. Youth with their magnetic minds and souls astound me on a daily basis.
What I have planned for this semester: First and foremost is to help people sharpen their own tools so that they may lead with all that they are and capable of being. I would like to do this by asking questions and engaging with those who have never heard of what Rotaract even is - increasing our club cohort is a plan for sure! I want to be a support system for our team and understand what it is that I can do so that they may reach heights never even imagined.
Why I joined Rotaract: My beautiful friends with their endless love for others introduced me to Rotaract and I was hooked from the start because they reflected what Rotaract is - to serve, commit and work tirelessly to mend the local, national and international community around you. I joined because I believe that I can make tangible changes happen around me at a time when becoming self obsessed is easy.
A fun fact about me: I spend about 20 minutes a day talking to my 3 month old brother because studies show that the earlier you chat infants up the better writers they become and well....SOMEONE has to write my biography and he is as good as anyone!! ;) P.S. He is great to vent to!!
